The Secret to Effective Non-Violent Resistance
This year, we saw the biggest protests in the US since the civil rights movement. Jamila Rakib is the executive director of a place called the Albert Einstein Institution which does research into nonviolent action. Non-violent struggle works by destroying an opponent, not physically, but by identifying the institutions that an opponent needs to survive and then denying them those sources of power.
