Uh, the Grasshopper Is Back!

The author argues that as computers get better and machines get smarter, we will be able to produce a condition under which humans no longer need to labor. And in that world, we should all become the grasshopper, right? We should embrace this kind of utopian thing. The book is presented with a kind of historical backdrop to it, right? What if technology got so good that we lived in like the worst little Ray Bradbury story with no action in it? Uh, we would all have to become the Grasshopper.
