The world health organization has listed snake bite envenoming as a neglected tropical disease. Between four and a half and about five and a half million people, human people, get bitten by snakes every year. This results in between one point eight and two point seven million invenomations worldwide each year. And an estimated anywhere 81 thousand to 138 thousand deaths from these inventimations.
