I O is accepted in the SaaS community as a top tier TLD, whereas dot co just generally isn't of the same caliber. I personally feel that introducing yourself and your company to either an angel investor or an institutional investor and having a top tier domain changes the perception. You know, when there's so many challenges of building a business from the ground up, you can give yourself that slight edge.
