We're not allowed to use the term black mark, a black mark against someone's record because it assigns negative connotations. The word abort can unintentionally raise religious and moral concerns over abortion. Instead of referring to someone as Hispanic because of their name or appearance, ask them how they identify themselves first. Institutionalized racism is racism embedded in the laws and regulations of a society or organization. It can be seen in processes, attitudes, and behavior through prejudice, ignorance, thoughtlessness, and racist stereotyping. They say these terms that don't fit into other categories are still important enough to have attention drawn to them.
