What's a Charter School?
Charter schools offer free tuition to children who take state mandated exams. They also receive less public funding, and it's usually like a fixed amount per pupil. Right now there are more than 7,000 charter schools in 42 states and DC. The issue of sending children to charter schools has its proponents and its critics.
