Jesus Called the Wind and the Sea

Jesus talks about the importance of leaving all things and following him immediately. This would now be the fourth miracle story we'll look at. Jesus is in the boat and there's a great storm that arose on the sea. The boat is being swamped by waves but Jesus was asleep. They went to him and they woke him up saying save us Lord we are perishing. And he said to them why are you afraid? Oh you have little faith. Then he rose and rebuked the wind and the sea and there was great calm. Michael: Many commentators recognize here Jesus is being portrayed as the Lord, as the God of Israel.
