How to Make a Newsletter Work for You

If it's a fairly niche market, then you just want to be thinking through like, what is the actual outcome before you think about what does a product look like? The thing I'll add to that is I talked to Dan Oshinsky, who led newsletters at Buzzfeed and then he went and like launched a newsletter program at the New Yorker. And he says that broadly speaking, there are a few different types of newsletters that people read and write. But for all four of those, it's important to kind of think about what your outcome is first and why you're trying to build this.
