The Difference Between Knowledge and Theory and Knowledge and Action

In the U.S., there hasn't been many physicians involved in EMS care, right? And we've really worked to train our EMTs and our paramedics and our flight nurses to be amazing clinicians. Just taking a doctor and putting him in a helicopter doesn't actually potentially benefit people very much because some of those doctors without additional training don't have the skills to succeed in that environment. So it's not as easy as saying, we're just doing emergency medicine, but it's in a helicopter. There's a whole lot of levels and layers to it.
