Misinformation and the Pandemic
The pandemic got me thinking about misinformation. So I started to look for what are the ways in which these different mechanisms for information can break down. And so that almost immediately generated a theory of misinformation. The third one I decided to do was conspiracy theories. It's misinformation about conspiracies that don't exist. Fourth application is to inequality. This one doesn't talk about so much, but I think it's really important because there are many arguments being given to say that inequality is real and justified. But from the start, Russia has been an incredible producer of misinformation over the last decade or more.
