The Value Divides Between the New Elite and Normal Ordinary Voters

I'm by no means the first person to point to this group and say culturally, politically, geographically and socially they're in a very different place from many other voters. I think where I perhaps depart from some of those other accounts is that I'm also saying that today the notion of status has changed in an important way. On both the left and the right are politics now you have really an elite graduate class that has drifted left on cultural questions so I don't know we do might not be in the new elite but it's definitely part of the story.
