Change can always come from one of two places, the inside or the outside. For society to exist, there needs to be an agreed upon reality. The reason you have regulations is so that we can grow sustainably in a way that you don't just burn everything down. How much responsibility do we attribute to these social media companies? Because if you don't say to them, hey, you do bear some responsibility,. I loathe to even say this, but a thing could happen. Some would argue that it did on january sixth at the capital.
