The Triangle Fire
The Triangle Fire proved that architecture couldn't protect us. We had to protect ourselves from architecture. The good egress meant getting rid of fire escapes, for so many reasons. In northern climates, they were covered with snow or eroded by rain. Not everyone could access them, like people with disabilities and the elderly.
