The film has been described as like an exploration of the injustice of the immigration system. I feel like this story is not one that we see a lot on screens. And i do feel like having the main character of these people directly affected by this threatened deportation is really interesting, for that to be sentto sta. A movie like this is a reminder that these problems are embedded. They don't change based when who's in the lighthouse. It makes me america has been so slow, like so much of the western world, in telling stories about who the country actually is. But i feel like australia even further behind. We think there needs to be more representation on the screen
