How Mortgage Rates Are Set
Mortgages fall into one of two camps: variable or fixed. Fixed rates tend to move in line with the Bank of England base rate, which is currently 4.5%. But they can also move for a bank's own competitive advantage or disadvantage. We're going to come and do proper Q&A on mortgages a little later in the show.
