Lactate and Resting Heart Rate Variability

Some athletes are just assessing their lactate after warm-up and seeing where it is or let's say after the first interval of a workout to adjust the intensity up or down. So equivalently, you can kind of do that with alpha one instead. The other one I would compare most directly is looking at resting heart rate variability, which is fairly popular. That's looking at the autonomic nervous system status. And if the autonomic system is looking like it's stressed and tired, you don't want to add insult to injury.
