What Is the Law of Conservation of Katastrophe?
An essay in chinese publication called chang, i'm not sure if i am pronouncing it right, is really interesting on this subject. It readsqte, there is simply nothing uniquely chinese about the korona virus outbreak. The explanations for why so many epidemics seem to arise in china is not cultural. It's a matter of economic geography. This provides the ideal medium through which ever more devastating plagues are born and then aggressively vectored through the human population. How do you understand this zoonatic illness as emerging from the present political, economic, ecological?
