The Role of Women in Political Stability

The way women are treated in societies is more important for determining whether or not you have political stability, people joining terrorist groups and corruption. "We think there's three different pathways" to destabilizing a society: violence at the household level, autocracy within the household and gendered roles for women. If you disempower women, it makes it far less likely that you'll have food security or health or education within the society.
