i consider ben's eternalist ontology of time to be fatalistic in exactly this sense. We can acknowledge the facts of modality that is about fundamental necessity and possibility without talking as if there are such things as possible worlds. So a necessary truth is true no matter what, so to speak, in all possible worlds,. A necessary falsehood absolutely can't be true. And we describe that as true only in zero possible worlds. There can't be any set of total sets of truths which are neither true nor false because they are either imaginary or unchangeable. If god has made us free creatures, then there will be some kind of libertarian freedom at all - but not where he unilaterally determines
