Is Trilani Giving Group Punishments a Good Idea?
This week's voice mail is from Lynn. When my oldest was in third grade, one of the teachers decided to use group punishment because a couple of the children were acting out and disrupting. What happened was instead of policing each other, every time they got in trouble, more and more children joined in with them. So I want this to be a blessing for anyone who endured these group punishments when they went awry. For those kids who tried to do the right thing and were going to get punished anyway.
