The Evolution of Language

I think of information as a physical property. The way I like to think about it is there are some things like biologically evolved objects that only come into existence because there's information to specify them. So in order to understand the causation of you clapping, you actually have to look at the whole history that led to you when I sitting in this particular room. That history involves also the evolution of language and the fact that you and I speak the same language. And so for me, when you see information actually being able to do things, it's evidence of a common history between those objects. It seems to already indicate something about the structure of complex systems.
