The Science of Kindness
For centuries, psychology was considered a branch of philosophy. When it came into its own in the early twentieth century psychologists tended to focus on objectively measurable topics such as memory and learning. But then came a pioneering branch known as positive psychology. It means studying positive emotions such as joy, hope, isipece or love. The first winner was barbara frederickson from the university of michigan who that positive emotions really matter because they can ameliorate the effects of negative emotions on the body. And that's what the kindness test is all about.
