The Con and Scam of John Von Neumann
John von Neumann entered a chess tournament in 1993 under that name. He touched the pieces and moved the pieces as though he had ever played in the chess tournament before. Everybody was suspicious about how this guy could be doing it. It's generally agreed now that basically what the guy was doing was concealing an earpiece, getting information transmitted to him by an accomplice.
