Is There a Silver Bullet in the Digital Economy?
I don't know what the silver bullet is, but the meta point is that if we spend time thinking about it, we can't amplify truth over falsehoods. And then we can try to get the heads of these social networks that they haven't been as successful or maybe haven't tried as hard to amplify truth. There are going to be people who benefit from a world of where people don't check facts and where truth is relative. But one of the reasons I suspect that we've had so much progress over the past few hundred years is the invention of the scientific method. That's a really powerful tool for finding truth and favoring things that are true versus things that are false.
