The oldest evidence of indian steel is known to have existed in southern india, tamilnado and trilanca. It was rediscovered in 19 91 by mountaineers who thought they had come across a murder scene. The mummified body has been preserved some place but we don't know where it is. We still don't know when it actually originatedo that's how old this manufacturing process is was,. And it originates in india, not in syria or damascus.
