The Warren Court's Decision in Brown v Board of Education
The landmark decision of Brown v Board of Education held that separate segregated public schools violated the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment. The court also relied on social science testimony, which they also did amends to decide that segregation was psychologically detrimental to minority children. This is also around the time when the conservative movement started taking root in Southern California. There was a lot of conservative mobilization against the Warren Court because of these big civil rights cases that came out of the court.
