The History of Athens

In the early 6th century BC, Athens began to introduce a series of political reforms. The city was divided into territories and each territory was based on an older territorial division called a demi. And this is the basis of not only a new form of government, but also words like democracy and democratic. This was the time that's come to be known as the Golden Age of Greece.
