The Cold War Was Over, but We Didn't Live Up to That

I was something of a target in those days, i suppose, as an american. The cold war had ended and the united states had won the sole super power left. I hoped that our wealth and presence in the world also did all or at least some of the good things that we hoped that it did. Sometimes it was aggressive. And if i were in his position, i might resent the influence of America too.
