The History of the Royal Niger Company

Professor Dan Hicks is a curator at Oxford University's Pitt Rivers Museum. He says Nigeria was part of the pink area for the British in 1884, but not turned into colonies. The Royal Niger Company was a trading firm that essentially served as an arm of the government.
