How to Hire a CTO or CEO
The importance of calibrating. When you're initially going after that person that you want to hire, we recommend that managers calibrate and they do it quickly. I think as I've spent more time recruiting, I actually think about it in terms of like, how have we done all the due diligence? So then when it gets about the offer, we're really, really confident that that's the right person to solve those problems. It's definitely defined differently at various places. Even if the title is the same, they could be doing very different things.
