How Can I Learn Different Vocabulary in English?

Shabby Duncan has lived in Scotland for almost six years. When he arrived here, his English was basic. He thought he could improve it, but he can't speak fluently. It's so difficult to understand the natives. A lot of slang is depends on the culture. British slang is different than American slang. Even inside of a culture, there's slang that's used only by certain groups.
