When people are in acute distress, they may find it really ficult to think rationally ort to problem solve. And this would then be a case where co regulation is really important. When someone's in tress, you get a chemical rush that causes a kind of neuro chemical chaos in the brain. So as you coregulate, moving toward self regulation, you can then restore that the chemical balance. This has a downstream effect into your gi system and your hormone system and your codia vascular system.
