No one from organized crime elements in Sydney or Melbourne had come forward to their police contacts. For this reason, senior detectives were working closely with Scotland Yard in Britain, Interpol in France and the FBI in the United States. All three agencies were feeding back information to Australian police. Police even visited Hong Kong on the tip that Australian $20 notes were circulating there. But this trip proved to be a dead end.
