The Importance of Reversing Malas Policies

Growth in rural percapita incomes until 19 85 was about 16 percent. That income incr increase took place primarily by giving farmers the freedom to grow what they wanted and sell it to whom they wanted for the best price, within limits. There wasn't a a big bang of just totally abolishing the grain procurement system that existed. But it gradually, they relie axed, and they allowed much more freedom  that was reflected in this big surge in rural incomes.
