Skydiving in a Storm?
He chose the drop shoot, the military shoot over the sporting shoot. The fact that he took the dummy shoot with him calls into question what does he know about parachuting? He probably had this planned and he just, you know, once he bought that plane ticket, he had it in his head to fulfill this plan regardless of conditions. Maybe he was an expert skydiver and he thought he could handle the conditions. I just see it as a desperate situation.
