The Importance of Community in Open Source Technology

I was never really a happy C++ programmer, to be honest with you. But I had this incredible emotional bond to it, which is problematic in our industry that we form these attachments to technology. And at the end of the day, my feeling is that it holds us back more than anything else. It definitely frames then how I see other technologies.
