#27.2 - The Nature of Knowledge, with Brett Hall

Do Explain with Christofer Lövgren

CHAPTER

Is There Any Foundation for Morality?

critical rationalism is a minority view of the nature of knowledge. It's not about starting from foundations and then deriving what you're supposed to think is absolutely true, says O'Pape. You come up with a guess about what you should do next, and then you criticise it. And there are now, in our estimation, no vilable alternatives. Inrand objectivists don't understand the problems with inductivism or basianism. Neither do scientists who talk about how we know that scientific theory is a particular theory. That's probably the closest at least compared to some other ways  of talking about science.
