Texas's High Property Tax

Texas relies on very high property tax. It does have a high sales tax though. Sales tax isn't progressive. State income tax doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense to me. I think that having a strongly progressive like federal income tax and stuff is is the way to like tax the rich. If you want to do tax at the state level, it should be broad based and about funding local services.
