Dan Koch: What if the point of faith is to commit to God in spite of that completely unavoidable uncertainty? This was such a fantastic conversation. I think it's pretty obvious that this conversation is at the heart of what this show is really trying to do. The value of our faith is not in the certainty of our propositional beliefs about God. Even the demons believe, as Jesus says,. Does a sense of certainty in our belief increase our love of God? Or does that sense of certainty merely mitigate our anxiety?
