Is There a Basic Physical Force?

For a quinist, there are basic physical forces or powers relying on medieval science. At the bottom of the scale, according to this way of thinking, there are purely corporeal substances like rocks. At the top, there arepure incorporeal substances like angels. And then, in the middle, there are humans, who in some bizarre way are composed of a body and an incorporeal bit, the soul. This is not a quinists's approach. But hopefully his theory can be rethought in more up-to-date terms.
