The Pence Effect on the Republican Debate

I don't disagree with the message of any of these ads, but I do think the timing is odd. The Republican debate is in August towards the end of the month and maybe at that point, I think people might be tuning in and a little more receptive to messages like this. If you're Pence, you've jumped into the race. You have not made a splash. It is Trump. It is DeSantis quite a bit behind him. And then everybody else is in single digits. So I don't think it's, again, it's not panic time, but that little bit of concern that as Yogi Berri used to say, it gets later out there earlier than
