A gesture is a movement that you do with your body. In England, in the UK, if you're two fingers, your index finger and your middle finger, with the back of your hand facing the person, meaning with two fingers up, that's very rude. The other way round is fine. To catch something or to catch a look at something is just to quickly get a glimpse of something. But normally gestures are with your hands. Like nice one?
