Lineage Is a Building Block for Lineage Tracking
There's been a lot of work recently in the overall space of lineage tracking and being able to automate the generation of lineage. I see lineage as a building block for all of this functionality to exist, but lineage alone doesn't solve this problem. Using lineage in order to propagate these data qualities sues and convey the information about the reliability of data products is then the onus of the down stream tool.
