The Proof with Simon Hill

CHAPTER

Dysbiosis and the Microbiome

The most compelling data we have on this is there are germ-free mouse models of colitis. And they don't develop colitis without a microbiome, but their conventional counterpart that's fully colonized will develop over a colitis. There's often like signatures of certain bacteria that tend to be prevalent when you have flares or when you have disease. It also makes me wonder, early in our life at age one, two, or three, should we be understanding our microbiome signature so then we can track it over the course of our life.
