The Importance of Understanding How Cells Work
The first thread was really that question of understanding how cells work. We've worked on RNA-seq from its very, very early days always in collaboration with Joshua Levine who's a molecular biology whiz. And we had like this dogged determination about the lab protocol and about the algorithms that go together with it. I mean, one thing I just want to remark on is the amount of vision and determination that it takes to say, if we just keep going and making this progressively better and better and better than before.
