The Role of the Press in a Natural Disaster in Nova Scotia
The Barrington Lake fire is by itself the largest fire that's ever been recorded history in Nova Scotia. The Tan town fire involved the evacuation of 16,000 people and 150 houses burned down. We've had an awful lot of development in these western suburbs for a few decades. There are neighborhoods with hundreds of houses that are in the woods that have only one path in and out and no fire hydrants.
