The Purpose of Prayer
The purpose of prayer, at its root, is not to get god to do our will. The purpose of prayer is for us to be conformed to his will and to do his will. We never build our theology around one verse that we just pluck out of context. And perhaps the biggest idea and understanding the bible is this, that what we do not understand the bible is we use the bible to interpret the biWe're going to take the bible to pret the bible so we see the total narrative of what god is trying to say under the umbrella of his goodness.
