The Importance of Idolatry in the Northern Kingdom

Ahab sold himself to do evil, Jezebel incited him to this. He acted abombitally and going after the Gilolim who he called "foul idols" The Northern Kingdom had become like the Amorites in terms of their idolatry. They've reverted back to the situation that called for God's judgment upon them. But as we'll see in 1 Kings 22, Ahab slips right back into his former rebellion.
