Is There a Way to Start a Song?

For a while, i would always come to a session with an idea that i thought was a good start for the person i was wriding with. I started thinking, i'm just going to go into these things very open with a theory of what i'd like to hear this person talking about. And that was kind of it. So i did that for li four years, you know, d that leaves open the fact that the collaborator might bring, might have a start that they're bringing. But lately i've been on a thing where i always bring a few ideas, and it's a, i don't think a either way is better or worse.
