Ianni: My heirloom chicken tasted more like turkey than i did like chicken. The alton brown recipe is a pretty straightforward brine of vegetable stock combined with ice, sugar, salt, peppercorns, allspice, some candied ginger. And then from there, you stuff it with aromatics, sage, rosemary apples. This was a pain. First of all, i didn't have a pot big enough to brine the turkey. So i was just kind of like shoving it into the biggest pot i had. And then i ew of this like raw turkey sitting in your fridge in salt water. I also meant to make the turkey in connecticut
